You did a wonderful job making the connection for UDL and apps. There are so many apps out there and so little time to see them all. Thank you for the ideas and link for apps to use with students. You did a fantastic job pairing the two together. I especially appreciated some of your app suggestions with UDL Links (great one) and we both shared the Settings app. Even though that one is installed by default I feel like it doesn't get the necessary attention - maybe that's why I put it first! Great post and really well done work. Right now we don't have a common practice for integrating technology. But in time I hope to have this changed. A great analogy is its like a fire hydrant that floods the staff with tools to utilize within their classroom. With arming the staff with the TPACK model and the technology matrix they will all be able to feel like they are all on the same playing field. When I attended the AEA class on TPACK, I left not really understanding it, until I did some reading on my own (with Dr.Z's help) And I think if I was going to help people understand a theoretical concept like TPACK, I would incorporate the information from Mark's website. Even more important was his idea to narrow down the tools (Lesson Three). I think that if educators were able to do this they would be less overwhelmed on a daily basis with everything out there and more able to actually focus on mastery in the other two areas. Make sense or am I crazy? Also, how do you at H-W practice Lesson Three?

-Randonrugglesrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04442878455219664244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5554137482041273971.post-44287597494517822092013-03-05T18:52:59.071-06:002013-03-05T18:52:59.071-06:00The app review section of TeacherCast is visited q...The app review section of TeacherCast is visited quite a bit. In the past our lower elementary teachers have just put the apps on themselves if they wanted it for their classroom. As we are growing we have now divided each grade level up with their own apple id, and will be using the Apple configurator on the staff members laptops. This will allow the staff members to download the apps, and sync all the apps through a mobile cart. For JH we use the Apple Configurator to push out our JSS profile this will be the same for the HS.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07076763389227672461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5554137482041273971.post-5913598793817735252012-05-19T20:57:15.552-05:002012-05-19T20:57:15.552-05:00Thank you for sharing some great places to learn a...Thank you for sharing some great places to learn about apps!
